Recently I've been ticking of a lot on my bucketlist and (watercolor) painting is one of them. I've seen my cousin do watercolor caligraphy and I was so amazed at how she does it – I tried doing what she did but I still failed. A few months ago, my dad sent me a bunch of his paintings. Ever since then I grew fond of the idea of actually learning and acquiring that skill.
I don't know shit about painting and watching youtube videos about it won't suffice plus, buying an expensive palette as a beginner's kit isn't practical, especially for a student on a budget like me. What better way of piquing my interest even more buy buying a set of cheap paint tubes and a compact palette!!!!
I'm so excited to learn even more. I make it a point to keep a blank
kraft notebook for when I feel like painting also for the purpose of
seeing any changes or improvements. The only paintings that I'm most confident in sharing are my swatches and a flower of some sort.
I bought my empty tin case palette at The Happy Ampersand (not sponsored!!) the seller was super nice and accommodating, she even sent a handwritten note :-( I'm pretty sure she does this to every customer but my soft heart melts with handwritten and/or DIYs so I gave her a 5 out o 5 rating when I my parcel arrived.
Hobby hoarding is so fun.
